Mira Theatre, home of the Mira Theatre Guild, offers space and support to host events both large and small. Whatever your requirements — from a full-stage theatrical production, to rehearsal space, to an intimate offsite meeting — we are able to help!
Our Facility

• Mira Theatreʼs Main Auditorium offers one of the largest main stages in the North Bay.
• The Main Auditorium offers a wide array of stage lighting and sound reinforcement options.
• Between the seats and the stage, there is space for cabaret tables or an orchestra.
• To ensure the comfort of guests the Main Auditorium also has a dedicated heating and cooling system.

• The North Wing of the Mira Theatre encompasses three large rooms (Dollie Nunn, Joan Burt, and Better Vallejo), which are to rent available individually or together to host smaller events, workshops, training seminars, or even black box theatrical productions.
• Each room measures 25ʼ x 29ʼ and can comfortably accommodate 30 people.
• The North Wing Hallway is available for your art as well! It is regularly used to display artwork from local Vallejo artists.
• The hallway is wide enough to support the setup of tables and chairs as part of larger multi-room symposiums.

• This wing not generally intended for public access.
• The South Wing of the Mira Theatre exists to support full-fledged theatrical productions with a workshop, a flat room, and a costume/prop room.
• This wing is available to you should your production warrant it.
• The entire South Wing, along with most of our other spaces, is easily secured to prevent access — thus protecting your assets and belongings during multi-day productions.

• Our entire facility is safe and secure.
• There is plenty of street lighting available along our front sidewalk.
• Our parking lot offers space for 60-70 cars in a well-lit area.
• Our parking lot has a ramp for wheelchair access. Please call in advance and we will be happy to assist you.
• Our parking lot is also regularly used during warm weather for outdoor events such as flea-markets and live music performances. This space is also available for rental. Contact Us to Inquire >>
Support & Assistance

• We can arrange for sound and lighting expertise, marketing support, access to props and costumes, front-of-the-house staffing, concessions, ticket sales (including online sales), etc.

• In addition to our physical space, the Mira Theatre Guild is pleased to offer production support and assistance should you require it.
• Mira Theatre has two pianos — a spinet, and a baby grand — available for your use. With advance notification either piano may be moved to any of the rooms in the North Wing or to the Main Auditorium (movement of the baby grand from its usual home in the auditorium will entail an additional charge).

• With advance notification Tech and A/V Staff is available and will entail an additional charge of $100.00/show.
Rates & Requirements

• For all events a security deposit (held in escrow) is required and refunded after satisfactory completion of the wrap-up walk-through of the building.
• Return of security deposits will be contingent upon a successful completion of the post-show/event walk-through.

• As part of any rental agreement and contract, a member of the Mira Theatre Guild will walk through the theater with a representative of the renting group prior to the event — using our checklist to document the condition of the premises.
• This document will be used again after the event to ensure the building is returned in the same condition in which it was given.
• Return of security deposits will be contingent upon a successful completion of this walk-through.

• Tech and A/V Staff is available and will entail an additional charge of $100.00/show.

• Discounts may apply for short and/or long term rental.

• Green Room: BackstageWe have it all! There is an intercom system linking the Booth, the Main Stage, the Green Room, and the Box Office/Lobby to facilitate quick communications and queuing.

Dollie Nunn Room

• Hours: 6 Hours (max. event)
• Room Size: 25ʼ x 29’The Dollie Nunn Room is located in the North Wing of the Mira Theatre. It is available to host meetings, small events, workshops, training seminars, or even black box theatrical productions. The room also makes an excellent space for additional staging needs for shows in the Main Auditorium (such as costume preparation).

Joan Burt Room

• Hours: 6 Hours (max. event)
• Room Size: 25ʼ x 29’The Joan Burt Room acts as a completely empty space for quick configuration to whatever is required. Often used as a community yoga studio, this room also regularly hosts art installations, classroom seminars, informal business mixers, cocktail parties, and even the occasional dance party.

Better Vallejo Room

• Occupancy: 30-50
• Hours: 6 Hours (max. event)
• Room Size: 25ʼ x 29’In its typical configuration the Better Vallejo Room offers couches and chairs for informal gatherings or meetings. This room includes catering support facilities such as a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and plenty of countertop space. The room may also be emptied of furniture for larger gatherings.
